VARIETY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME
Tournaments are the pinnacle of competition, be it any sport or game being played, including poker. When you play online poker tournaments, the jubilation of competing against a few thousand players, and beating them in a battle of wits, nerves, and skills is a feeling unlike any other. And then there’s the jackpot itself, way larger than ordinary ring games.
When you play online poker tournaments at VIP Ponto Play, you’ll find greater variety and larger jackpots than most online poker sites out there. It doesn’t matter that you’ve never had the experience of playing an online poker tournament before, it’s a fairly simple affair: you buy-in and are provided with a stack of chips, and then you try to win your opponents’ chips off them while they try to do the same to you. As players go bust, they exit the tournament, with the last remaining player taking the pot.
VIP Ponto Play offers Multi-table, Sit & Go, Heads-up tournaments in various Freeze-out, Re-buy and Shoot-out formats and guaranteed tournaments. Also on offer are satellite tournaments to gain entry into much bigger events and freerolls that cost nothing to enter
Play Free Poker Tournaments Online: Freerolls
Freeroll tournaments are, as the name suggests, free to enter. They give a player excellent practice for big-ticket real-money tournaments. On top of that, you can easily walk away with a fair sum of money, if you perform well. Check the lobby to see the available freerolls at any point of time.
Sit & Go (SnG)
Sit & Go tournaments do not have a particular start time. The tournament will commence as and when the SnG table is full. You can check the Sit & Go tab for a selection of 6, 10 or 30 player SnG events.
Satellites are tournaments that reward winners with an entry into tournaments with high buy-ins. Each satellite corresponds to a specific poker event that will occur at a later date. When you win in one of these special satellites you are winning a seat into the event that the satellite is tied to; at a fraction of the usual cost as satellites are typically inexpensive to buy into.
Deep stack tournament are normal tournaments, except for a larger starting stack, usually of 5000 chips. In addition to the deeper stack, most Deep Stacks events have longer intervals for each level.
Freeze-out poker tournaments have a preset buy-in amount that needs to be paid for entry and when you lose all your chips, you are eliminated from the tournament. As players are eliminated, tables are combined with other tables until there is a final table and ultimately, one player left with all the chips.
Heads up tournament is a contest between 2 players only. The rules are the same with Heads-up play with a minor change. The player with the "dealer button" posts the small blind and will act first pre-flop then last for the remainder of the hand. The player posting the big blind is dealt first.
